Happy Birthday to You,
Happy Birthday Dear Isla, Solomon, and Simon
Happy Birthday to YOU!!!!!

Let me update you on a couple things...
Isla - Isla is our little diva. She loves to giggle and smile. She is rolling over on her side now - close to rolling from her back to her belly but more interested in staying on her side for now. She loves to talk and always holds her hands clasped in front of her face when she's happy. She enjoys flying around the room Super Woman style and sitting in her Daddy's lap. She's doing her own version of crawling now - scooting around the floor on her back. (She can get pretty far too!) She's still our little peanut weighing only 13 lbs and wears 3 month clothing. She's sporting beautiful copper, red hair now and has the most adorable dimple in her right cheek. What a beautiful little diva!
Solomon - Solomon is full of energy. He was the first to roll from his back to belly and does it constantly. He often stays on his belly for 30 minutes or so at a time and then cries until we "rescue" him. (He does know how to roll from belly to back but forgets he learned that first!) He's extremely talkative and enjoys testing his lung power with high pitched squeals of delight. He's probably caused some permanent hearing damage in all of us by now. :) He enjoys playing with his toys and carrying on conversations with us. He now weighs 15 lbs. and is sporting a little red in his hair. He also has an adorable dimple in his right cheek. What a handsome little guy!
Simon - Simon is tenderhearted. He's a very happy and content baby and learns a lot by watching everyone else. He was fascinated with Solomon rolling onto his belling and a couple days later, Simon rolled to his belly. Simon has started to really play with rattles and toys and likes to hold Isla's or Solomon's hands if they are close by. He loves to giggle and is very ticklish. He loves to cuddle and talk and often wakes up at night to carry on a conversation with anyone that's willing to listen. He now weighs 14 lbs. Unlike his siblings, Simon has adorable blonde hair that sticks straight up and while he doesn't have a dimple, his smile is absolutely adorable. He's our other little handsome guy!
All three are sleeping in their own cribs now and Simon has his own room too. It's not a permanent setup but we had to separate the boys because they kept waking each other up. We put Solomon in our guest bedroom first and after 4 nights, he started sleeping through the night. We moved him back in the nursery to "train" Simon and unfortunately, Simon is still sleeping in there. He wakes up almost every night sometime between 1-4 am to talk. We don't go into his room anymore (since he can't wake up anyone else) and he eventually falls back to sleep. We're hoping he will eventually break this habit and learn to sleep through the entire night. Isla has slept through the night since she was 2 months old. We are grateful for that. She's quite the deep sleeper too so we don't have to run into the nursery each time the boys starting crying, etc.
The babies enjoyed their first Christmas with the family. We drove home to Iowa and it was definitely a trip Ben and I will never forget. It's also a drive we hope to never repeat in the next few months. It was a brutal drive and we were exhausted but it was worth it to see all of our family over the holidays. We are grateful everyone made it safe and enjoyed catching up. We had four generations at my parent's house and almost had that at Ben's if it weren't for the snow storm. Maybe next year! :)
I'll try and post more often. I am back to work now part time. It was hard going back but I'm enjoying my work again. It's nice to have adult interaction too. We're currently searching for a nanny. We're seriously considering an Au Pair to come and live with us for a year. We've just recently filled out an application and have begun reading profiles of available women. We know God is in control and will direct us according to His will for our lives.
Here are some pictures for you to enjoy:

Oh my goodness, I can't believe how much they've grown! Thanks for the update and the wonderful pictures. Hopefully I will get to see them in person again soon.
