Bucket List

Lais has a bucket list for her time here in the States. Her last time items are:

1. Walk on a frozen lake
2. Ride on a school bus

Since number 1 isn't possible at this time of year in New Mexico (or ever since we can hardly call anything a lake around here), I decided to try for number 2. We were driving into town when I glanced over at a hotel parking lot and saw a school bus parked there. I thought in my head, "they can't say "no" if you don't ask." So, naturally, I pulled into the parking lot and asked the bus driver if Lais and the kids could hop in the bus for a picture. He was thrilled to fulfill her wish. Here are some pics of our tiny adventure.

Wanna Come Over...

Wanna come over for some dessert? Not just any dessert, Chocolate Cheesecake. I tried this new recipe for our class at church. Let's just say, it was a hit! :)

Where do you sleep?

Where do you sleep? Most people would answer "in my bed". Isla, however, has decided to skip the soft, comfortable bed and trade it in for her rug that sits on a tile floor. Sound comfy to you? This is how I found her at nap time....silly girl!

Family Pictures

It's time again...for family pictures! We wanted to get some right before Lais headed back home. A friend of ours took these pictures as a "thank you" for me making their wedding cake. Enjoy!

Children's Church

At our church, the kids aren't old enough for Children's Church until they are 3. Well, I thought our kids had outgrown the nursery and got permission to try out Children's Church even though the kids weren't old enough for another 5 months. I'm glad I asked because class was a success!! The teachers asked us to bring them back next week too! Here are the projects from church that day.

NM Train

The boys love trains so we thought, "Why not take them for a train ride!" Here are some pictures of our recent trip to downtown Santa Fe. We went for lunch and then rode the train back home. It was a HUGE hit and we plan on making it a regular weekly event. :)
