Ah, the transition to big beds is a big topic for young parents. You talk about: when are the kids old enough? Is it too soon? Are we ready for this? You realize they will have freedom to roam around now? Yep...the many questions that pop into our heads as we faced reality.
It was time for Big Beds.
Simon was actually moved back in November due to his ability to follow instructions better than the others. We thought the night would go horrible but he never left the bed. Not once. Whew.
Hmmmm...are we ready for the next two? Nope. We pushed it back and pushed it back until we realized we'd be pushing it back until they were 16 and driving. So, we did it. Results? Perfect. 3 for 3. They did NOT get out of bed.
Gotta love it. Lucky? Yes, I think so. But I'll take it anyway. :)
Ben and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary this year. We decided long ago that we would take a vacation to a beach destination. Destination: Maui, Hawaii Ben's parents came to help Lais with the kids for 1 week. It was so difficult to be away that long but Ben and I had a very relaxing and enjoyable time in paradise.
Thank you, Ben, for being my best friend, an amazing and godly husband, and an awesome father to our beautiful children. I love you more today than ever and I pray we have many more anniversaries to celebrate together. Happy Anniversary!!
These must be the coolest invention EVER for families with multiples (or toddlers in general)! Nana and Bompa gave these to the kids for Christmas. They are clocks that turn the color green when the child can get out of bed. The parents choose the time and you can set a nap timer for during the day. Since we began using these, we've been able to sleep in until 6:30 again! This is HUGE since normal wake up time for the boys was anywhere between 4:30-5:30 am. Oh yeah, this clock is a miracle worker!
Kids love getting mail. I remember when a letter would come with my name on it. It was such a sweet day! To brighten my kids' day, I give them Mommy Mail. A special reward for taking a great nap. If the mail flag is up, mail has been delivered.
