While on vacation in Denver, we got a lot of playtime in with Grandma and Grandma, Auntie Angie, Uncle Andy, Auntie Liz, Uncle Pete and all of our cousins: Grant, Lauren, Rachel, Owen and Aiden. What a fun time!!
Isla said something that made our mouths drop the other day:
"Baby eat dinner all gone so baby get cookie"
Cha Cha is her baby and we teach the kids that they can't get dessert unless they finish their food (or make a very good effort to finish it). Our "shock" came from the length of the sentence and the fact that she used "so" appropriately.
For Simon's 2nd birthday, we gave him a Cookie Monster puppet. He loves Cookie Monster, aka "CooCoo Monster". The bad news is that literally 30 seconds after he picked it up to play with it, he dropped CooCoo on the floor and the eye ball broke. Daddy fixed CooCoo's eye with super glue but it broke again last night leaving Simon a bit devastated. I couldn't take the sadness anymore so we took the kids to Target at 7 pm last night and got Simon a new stuffed (eyes are stuffed too) CooCoo Monster. Needless-to-say, CooCoo slept with him last night, ate breakfast with him this morning and went on a walk too.
Ah, Simon and CooCoo...the best of pals.

We went for frozen yogurt today and was once again surprised by Isla's attention to detail. I got each of the kids a cup of banana flavored yogurt (white). Lais sat down next to Isla and began to eat her blackberry yogurt (purple). Isla told Lais she wanted a bite of her yogurt...here's the conversation:
Every Mommy needs to be pampered once in a while. My recent pampering was a trip to Kristov at WildHare Salon in Santa Fe. He did some great highlights/lowlights and then a wonderful cut - my best cut ever in Santa Fe!! I totally recommend him. He was able to fix my disastrous haircut from May and turn it into a fun, stylish cut! In addition, I was even pampered with a made-just-for-me cappuccino while he colored my hair. Ahhhh, delicious!
Here's a picture of Isla, taken at the speech therapy graduation. The boys were being monitored for a couple months to be sure they weren't behind on their speech. After realizing they were just fine (actually, advanced), they decided to graduate them from all services. Here Isla is enjoying some ice cream on the special night.
(The original picture is actually a photo copy - that's why it looks slightly strange. I took a picture of it with my phone and posted it.)
